Over the course of six Saturdays, our Grade 4 students embarked on a journey of learning and preparation. They have not only acquired sufficient knowledge but also delved deep into the mystery of Christ. This understanding has allowed them to approach the reception of the body of Christ with faith and devotion, a testament to their growth and commitment.
Preceded by sacramental confession and absolution administered by Rev. Fr. William Bustamante, the boys donned a white polo and black pants, symbolizing purity and reverence, while the girls wore a plain white dress and a veil, symbolizing their readiness to receive the body of Christ.
The First Communion, a significant milestone in our faith, is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. It is a ceremony, deeply rooted in our Christian traditions, during which a person (between the ages of seven and thirteen) of the church first receives the Eucharist. This sacred event marks a new chapter in their spiritual journey.
