The 20 girls of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines from around the country, together with Dr. Fe Violeta Taring, Vice President International Participation and Council Officer of Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Dumaguete City, and Msgr. Lucio Sembrano, Chaplain of the International Conference of Catholic Girls’ Guide, visited Pag-asa to conduct an activity for their GSP Literacy Program.

The focolarinos and the Pag-asa’s Corporate Secretary, Mr. Darwin De Guzman, welcomed the monsignor and the doctor.

The girls, on the one hand, started the program, getting the attention of our daycare pupils by playing with them. When the children already felt comfortable, they started the reading activity. We also had a liturgical mass presided over by the monsignor. It was also attended by the invited members of the Focolare, the parents of the kids, the Pag-asa staff, and its youth volunteers.

The girls took off, leaving snacks and books for the kids to enjoy.
