After four years of hiatus, we brought back our Collective Celebration activity, where we summon the children beneficiaries whose birthdays fall on the covered months of the quarter. More than the birthday celebration, we also summoned the beneficiaries who excelled in academics and extracurricular activities during their Second Grading Period, as well as those who performed good deeds for the environment or for fellow human beings (like a father who returned a considerable amount of money left by his passenger in his tricycle). This is all to make them feel their efforts are appreciated and recognized. We commend them for that, and their sense of achievement and pride becomes an inspiration for the other beneficiaries to emulate.
We started the activity with games. Then, we asked each of the achievers what challenges they had encountered in getting high grades and the measures they took to achieve them. We distributed their gifts before we ended the day with a snack.
