Last year, Pag-asa revived its Team Pag-asa, recruiting 24 new youth members and teaching them a unique perspective: the opponents should be treated with the same respect and compassion as they would show to Jesus. For this reason, they pride themselves on being playmates rather than opponents, as this philosophy has been instilled in their minds.
This year, Team Pag-asa’s journey began with a tune-up game at San Guillermo Academy in Talisay, Batangas. The event was successful not only in terms of the game, but also in fostering new friendships and connections among the participants. This is a clear demonstration of the team’s commitment to community building, a cause that we can all be proud of and feel connected to.
In March, Team Pag-asa demonstrated their resilience in the BKD (Barkadahan Kontra Droga) Inter Brgy Basketball League held in Laurel, Batangas. Despite a loss in the first game, they emerged with a sense of pride and hope, cherishing the new interactions they had with fellow players. This positive attitude, their refusal to be discouraged, is a true reflection of the team’s spirit and is sure to inspire us all and fill us with hope for their future performances.
In April, Team Pag-asa showcased their growth and improvement in the BKD Inter Barangay League in Laurel, Batangas.
