Skills Development is a program launched by Pag-asa Social Center providing trainings and short skill courses in collaboration with TESDA (Technical Education Skills and Development Authority).
July 1, 2015, 21 Students, mostly are mothers finished their short course in Hair care. It helps the mothers to be productive even they are at home . Now some of the mothers started a small business of hair cutting in their houses. Learning how to cut hair properly some mothers shares that they were able to save some money of not going anymore in barber shops and salon.
Developing Skills is very important for us to improved the quality of life of the people around us but more than all short courses was integrated by a Spiritual and Values formation lesson also to share them the life of unity and the vision of Pag-asa “ to become a family”.
