Child safety and prevention of abuse of minors and vulnerable adults’ policy seminar

To make sure all children we are handling and other children we come in contact with are protected
from all forms of violence, abuse, exploitation and discrimination and are provided legal protection,
within a child sensitive justice system, Pag-asa staff and some supported university students under the
Support at a Distance Program took a seminar about Child Safety and Prevention of Abuse of Minors and
Vulnerable Adults. We learned about the principles of non-discrimination, best interest of the child, respect for the views of the child, and the right of the child to life, as well as Article 19 of the CRC, as codified under RA 7610.
