As we begin to see what might be the beginning of the end of this pandemic, here we are again bringing you good news.
As we begin to see what might be the beginning of the end of this pandemic, here we are again bringing you good news.
Many more similar acts of love followed until we decided to launch Pag-asa Social Center Foundation Hopping Community Pantry since the protagonists of this activity are beneficiaries of our foundation. This version of our community pantry hops from one town to another.
2021 could be welcomed with some anxiety and feelings of uncertainty. But, the people of Pag-asa tries to see the silver lining in the current crisis.
Pag-asa experienced a first crisis situation earlier this year when nearby Taal Volcano erupted, causing difficulties a lot worse than the pandemic. However the current crisis presents its own challenges for we know not when it will be over, nor what the future holds for us. It seems to paralyze us and leave us with very few options on what to do as a response.
In the second quarter of this school year, 38 children beneficiaries of Pag-asa excelled in their academic performance (35 of them got a general percentage average (GPA) of 94 while 2 of them got a GPA of 97). Sixty-seven (67) others bagged gold medals and received certificates in Leadership and Social Responsibilities, including Athletics. We will go deeper in this topic in a future issue of our newsletter. However, with or without these achievements, we remain proud of our children.
